Chocolate's been lauded for its medicinal and physical properties—labeled an anti-depressant, youth elixir and even an aphrodisiac. But whether you like it dark or milky, its first and foremost calling is a crave-inducing treat. From triple-chocolate sundaes to DIY chocolate lollipops, here are six sweet deals to celebrate National Chocolate Day tomorrow in New York.

Godiva: Starting Wednesday, the chocolatier will offer a 25% discount on all individually-wrapped truffles in stores and online. In stores only, get a three-for-$30, mix-and-match set of chocolate-covered Oreo cookies, chocolate-dipped macaroons, chocolate bark and chocolate-covered strawberries.

Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria: Take home gratis seasonal dark-chocolate truffles with the purchase of any house-made retail item from the specialty food shop up front.

Max Brenner: The Bald Man will offer a half-off chocolate granita with the purchase of any burger. Not in the mood for patties and a shake? Shop 10% off all in-store items on Wednesday only.

Neuhaus Chocolate: Purchase chocolate at any location of the lauded Belgian chocolatier for a free gift of two sweet pralines. Additionally, any chocolate-lover who spends $40 online can take advantage of free shipping in the US.

Van Leeuwen: Get your serving of cacao in frozen form at any location of the homegrown artisanal ice-cream chain. These scoops masters will be serving a limited-time Triple Chocolate Sundae ($9) made with classic or vegan Michel Cluizel chocolate scoops, house-made hot fudge (also available vegan) and sprinklings of crunchy Askinoisie cacao nibs.

Voilà Chocolat: From 10am to 9pm, the atelier will be featuring a hands-on "Make your own Voilàllipops" experience for $25. The price comes with five chocolate lollipops (choice of white, milk or dark), themed transfer sheets and a three-topping kit. All guests are also automatically entered into a giveaway to win $100 off a private chocolate-making class for four.
