Holy cannoli! The amazing Feast of San Gennaro will be taking over Little Italy starting September 15, so get ready to tip your hat to the Patron Saint of Naples during the 11-day bash. Apart from gorging on amazing Italian dishes from restaurants in the area while shoving slices of pizza in your piehole, there’s tons of free entertainment going on, like the grand Cannoli Eating Contest on Friday, September 16!

And guess what? This is the first year that the eating competition is open to amateurs as opposed to professional eaters only. The top pastry-eating champion will win $250, and the first runner-up will take home a solid Benjamin. But, c’mon, free cannolis is a grand prize all on it’s own, right?
If you’re interested in participating, you must register by calling 212-764-6300 Monday through Friday, between the hours of 11am and 5pm. Spectators can watch the cream-filled madness by the Feast Performance Stage at the corner of Grand and Mott Sts at 2pm. Get there a half hour early if you want a front row seat.
