Oh, purrfect. Bowery Boogie reports that a second cat café is slated to open next month at 26 Clinton Street, which means things might get a little hairy for Meow Parlour—New York City’s original cat café in the Lower East Side.
We’re not “kitten.” The new spot dubbed “Koneko” (means kitten in Japanese, of course) will have local furry friends available for adoption from Anjellicle Cats Rescue. And unlike Meow, it sounds like customers can purchase and consume food here—Meow has a separate facility around the corner where you can get, er, cat poop truffles.
Does this mean there will be a greater risk of finding a cat hair in your cup of joe at Koneko? We’ll soon find out. But the real question is: When will we get a puppy café, you guys?
