According to the schedule of arbitrary, yet oddly specific national food holidays, this Thursday, August 27th marks the annual National Banana Lovers Day. Unwilling to let that day go to waste, the good folks over at Magnolia Bakery have usurped it for their own use—and we don't see a problem with that.
This Thursday, the cult cupcakery will offer free banana puddings to the first 300 customers who order from UberEats only. In stores, all US locations will sell a brand-new banana pudding cupcake—'nilla wafer cakes with sweet banana curd topped with banana pudding cream—which will be available through Sunday. Take it a step further and post a pic of your pudding or cupcake on Instagram with the hashtag #gobananas for a chance to win an entire year's supply of banana pudding (one large serving per week). Not ready to commit? There'll be free bite-sized samples and temporary #gobananas tattoos on site as well.
