Mission Chinese has reopened on East Broadway

Forget sugar cookies and cocoa—this year’s holiday treat was a quiet reopening from Mission Chinese Food over the weekend. After shuttering the shop on Orchard Street last November due to health inspection and landlord issues, Danny Bowien (Mission Cantina) has brought one of the famed hole-in-the-wall back to life. 

The new-and-improved Chinese joint on East Broadway comes equipped with a wood-fired oven that will be churning out cheese pizzas along with fire-breathing dishes and MCF favorites missed for months. To celebrate, Bowien even teamed up with LES legend Russ & Daughters to create a Jewish-Christmas feast at the appetizing café on Christmas Day that sold sold out in a matter of hours. But don't fear, friends: Mission Chinese Food will be open from noon–5pm on Dec 25. And, we’ve got the full menu—including fan favorites, bold new plates and two prix fixe options—below:
