Hear ye, Meatball Shop-loving masses. Michael Chernow—one half of the crowd-pleasing Italian chain—is trading carne for catch at his first solo restaurant, Seamore's, opening tonight. Focusing on underutilized species (monkfish, porgy) from local fisheries, the 70-seat, light-wood–heavy spot will feature "Big Fish" tacos, an Oh-Boy sandwich with crispy skate on Sullivan Street Bakery bread and a Daily Landings menu board highlighting that day's fish specials, served plancha-seared with a choice of sauce (red curry, harissa-cashew) and sides (crispy snap peas, braised garlic greens).

There will also be vegan ice cream from OddFellows Ice Cream Co.—one of our favorite ice cream shops in New York—house-made aguas frescas available virgin or spiked, and cocktails like the rum-and-blackberry Swipe Right. 390 Broome St between Cleveland and Mulberry Sts (212-730-6005, seamores.com)
