An informative new map from UK pharmacy Treated will you make you feel even better about making the more active, REI-approved choice of walking over taking the subway. After a similar map they produced for the London tube system went viral, the pharmacy decided to map out exactly how many calories you’d burn walking between subway stops in New York.
Turns out, on top of being about two hours late, I would burn 228 extra calories if I walked my subway route to work in the morning instead of taking the train. I may not have a job after that, but I would DEFINITELY have a side of chips at lunch.
