Chances are, you've already spun Kendrick Lamar's new LP, To Pimp a Butterfly, a couple dozen times already. The Compton MC's vintage-funk-infused, politically charged opus, issued in D'Angelo-style surprise-attack fashion last Sunday, broke Spotify's first-day streaming record, and the rave reviews are pouring in. (Even Kanye West offered his Twitter benediction.) We're still getting our head around the record, but we can already tell it's a statement we'll be lost in for months—and probably years—to come. So why not pick up a physical copy, signed by Lamar himself? The first 2,000 fans who buy the disc at Williamsburg's Rough Trade NYC today starting at 1pm will receive a wristband good for entry to a 4pm signing featuring Kendrick himself. (Once you get your wristband, you can come back at 3pm to line up for the signing.) We're guessing the store will be mobbed well before its 11am opening, so you'll want to head to the L train ASAP. Happy queuing!
