Yesterday, New Yorkers chose the city's best macaroni and cheese at our Mac Daddy competition. During the all-day curd event at Openhouse Gallery, six restaurants—including Almond, Big Daddy's Diner, the Stand, Fame, Atwood Kitchen & Bar Room and Wild Card—cooked up their best renditions of the decadent comfort-food dish, while guests sampled their way through each version and threw back a pair of Goose Island pints.
At the end of the night, readers' votes were counted and the winner was announced, crowning Atwood, and Executive Chef Brad Warner, with the best cheesy macaroni in New York! Take a look at more photos from the event below:
