Anyone who made it to either of last fall’s sold out Time Out New York’s Women of Comedy 2014 shows will tell you: It was a hell of a night. The two back-to-back showcases featured some of the country’s smartest, funniest comics (and we’ve got the photos and the video to prove it). Everyone had so much fun, in fact, that we’re launching a new monthly comedy show: the Time Out New York Comedy showcase. Taking place at 9:30pm at Carolines on the last Wednesday of every month, you’ll see comics ranging from New York’s finest stand-ups to visiting guest stars to up-and-comers that will blow you away.
We’re kicking off the series on March 25 with a phenomenal lineup of talent: whip-smart NYC comedy scene lynchpin Ted Alexandro (Louie, Entourage), the wickedly sharp-tongued Bonnie McFarlane (writer/director of Women Aren’t Funny), the affably thought-provoking Gary Gulman (veteran of every late night network comedy show ever) and the relentlessly energetic Michelle Wolf (writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers, also known as Grown-Up Annie). Throw in the current king of crowd work, Phil Hanley, as host and you’ve got a comedy show to remember.
You can buy tickets for the Time Out New York Comedy Showcase right here. And if they’re sold out by the time you click that link, don’t panic—we’ll be back next month!
