Head to the Gansevoort Plaza anytime before 10pm tonight to eat free hot dogs and do just that. Celebutoque Tyler Florence, of Food Network fame, joins forces with the Ball Park Finest Grillathon winners for this 38-hour event, complete with gratis grub and live cooking demonstrations. The grueling grill-off is an attempt to shatter the record for Longest Team Barbecue Marathon, currently held by UK pitmasters Barry Croxall and Dave Skeldon, who grilled for 30 hours earlier this summer.

After the event, the grillers will donate a whopping 600 pounds of food directly to City Harvest, a nonprofit organization that rescues food to combat hunger.
