When we write about Bryant Park’s massive dance parties every summer, we normally tell you to put your dancing shoes on. But for the first time ever, the midtown landmark wants you to kick your dancing shoes off. Go on, get dirty.
That’s right, Bryant Park is hosting its first-ever Barefoot Ball on July 20 at 7:30pm. The reason? To launch Bryant Park Young Professionals and support all of the destination’s free, year-round programing and classes.
Expect an event unlike anything the park has ever done, for there will be an open bar with wine provided by Sud de France and Wines of Germany, plus beer by Bronx Brewery. When you’re feeling peckish, you can purchase eats from Momofuku Milk Bar and DB Bistro Moderne, and best of all, the music will be provided by the ever-lovable DJ Questlove.
Remember when we said this event is totally unique? Well, we weren’t kidding. This is the first time the park has ever thrown a ticketed event. The former price ($115) is nothing to sneeze at, but now, the price has dropped to only $50! SCORE. Grab your tickets here.
It all goes down on the great lawn (ahh, don’t you just love the feeling of grass between your toes?), but if you’re not crazy about the whole barefoot thing, flip-flops will be provided.
