A sneak peek at April Bloomfield's Salvation Burger, opening this Wednesday

Fans of April Bloomfield's famed Roquefort-topped burger at the Spotted Pig rejoiced when the mega-toque announced last year that her latest venture with cohort Ken Friedman would be a burger-focused eatery inside the Pod 51 Hotel.

Open for lunch and dinner starting this Wednesday, the fast-casual Salvation Burger will feature bespoke fixings, from custom potato rolls and house-brined pickles to patties ground by an on-site butcher using upstate-sourced steers. Options include a double-patty burger and a wood-fired dry-aged creation, as well as non-beef options such as a fish sandwich snugging tempura-style fluke fillets and a seasonal veggie bun stuffed with a beet patty and black-garlic aioli. 

Beyond burgers, expect salads, hot dogs and milkshakes served straight-up or spiked. See the latter and more below:
