This two-barrel nanobrewery adds to Queens' beer buzz, specializing in farmhouse-style ales and saisons near the Pulaski Bridge. After sharing a beer together as avid road-bike racers in '05, owners Rob Kolb and Anthony Accardi dusted off old homebrew equipment and started experimenting with isolated strains of yeast. The duo employs 30 wild Belgium, English and American strains, for beers like a rye-infused mahogany saison and a hoppy golden ale. Brews are sold via their Community Supported Beer program, i.e., beer buffs can purchase shares of the brewery and receive regular growlers and 750ml bottles in return.
