Below a rear entrance to the Port Authority is an orange awning like a crushed hat, and over its narrow doorway is the word bar. A beautiful unlit neon sign (crafted in 1937) with Holland spelled in script hangs inside, above the booze. Although welcoming to everyone, the place clearly has little interest in attracting a crowd and sticks to what it does best: serving cheap booze to regulars who just want to down a few stiff ones and croon along with the jukebox.
