    Sweat Box

    Ultimate Frisbee

Where: The Long Meadow Ballfields in Prospect Park, Brooklyn
When: Every Tuesday and Thursday, 6pm till dusk, and every Wednesday at 6am.
So, wait. Frisbee has rules? The rule book’s 11th edition was just released (upa.org), but if you can only remember one, go for gold: Ulty players are really into “Spirit of the Game,” i.e., sportsmanship.
Sportsmanwhaaa? “You can be a dick, but then you gotta win,” says Orion Lillyreed, 31, of Park Slope. “If you lose and you’re a dick, that’s not a good look.”
How not to suck: Learn to throw a flick.
If you suck anyway: You’re not alone. Players are friendly and welcome the advances of uncoordinated clowns. Make up for your athletic incompetence by bringing something for the group: whiskey, homemade cookies, some bud. And if you’re female, don’t sweat it; the odds are already in your favor.
