Time Out says

Textile artist Lissy Funk (1909–2005) was a native of Berlin who lived most of her life in Zurich, where she taught home economics while diligently stitching visually complex wall hangings that grew ever more abstract, ambitious and astonishing over time. Her pieces, commanding in scale, contained echoes of both German and Abstract Expressionism. Lost in the cracks of 20th-century art history, her work is revived in this show containing a single large embroidery from 1965, plus a few ink and watercolor studies on paper.
