Gilbert & George's first gallery show in New York since 2004 is a big one: a three-space affair, encompassing both Lehmann Maupin locations as well as Sonnabend Gallery. As it often does, their latest work takes inspiration from the city they've called home for nearly five decades: London. This time, it's the Old Smoke's notoriously scandal-hungry tabloid press that serves as the backdrop for the duo's photographic self-portraits, in which their features peak out from behind screaming headlines.
