Ga's performances, photos and videos revolve around trips she's taken to far-flung locales, in what might be called voyages of artistic self-discovery. Previously this has included a journey to the arctic, but her latest show takes her to the warmer clime of Alexandria, Egypt, in pursuit of its most famous (though no longer nonexistent) landmark: the great lighthouse, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, which stood on the island of Pharos between 247 B.C. and A.D. 1323. A three-channel video and two-screen slide projection respectively weave together circular and linear narratives based on her time attending a marine archaeology program in the former Ptolemaic capital.
