2012 Interactive Sculpture Garden

Summer on Governors Island wouldn't be complete without outdoor sculpture, and as it has for the past several years, nonprofit Figment offers a selection culled from an open call for proposals. One highlight seems to take a page from the ending of the original Planet of the Apes movie: Zachary Landsberg's full-size model of the Statue of Liberty's punim, planted faceup in the grass.
