Getting up close and personal with some of the world’s most famous paintings and sculptures is one thing – but sleeping among them? That’s quite the upgrade.

Airbnb, the holiday rental platform, has revealed a brand-new ‘Icons’ category that features stays and experiences in some of the world’s most stand-out locations, and the first 11 have been announced.

For the petrolheads out there, you have the chance to rest and race around the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, but for admirers of Renoir, Rodin, Monet and Van Gogh, there’s another on the list that’ll catch your eye.

The Musée d’Orsay, one of the most splendid art galleries in Paris, known for its expansive Impressionist and Post-Impressionist collections and dazzling architectural features, will soon be available to book on Airbnb.

Hosted by Mathieu Lehanneur, the acclaimed designer who created this year’s Olympic Torch, your stay will take place in the iconic clock room, transformed for one night into a rather sumptuous bedroom.

And you won’t be sleeping over on just any old night. The museum’s gorgeous terrace will provide a fantastic view over the Seine so you can enjoy the Opening Ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games (taking place on July 26), and you’ll get a private tour of the museum’s Impressionist collection before a gourmet dinner, too.

Take a look at these pics of the space.
