Celebrate the 75th anniversary of Fantasia at these special screenings of the Disney classic. Enjoy scenes like “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice,” in which Mickey Mouse acts as an aspiring musician, and “Dance of the Hours,” a ballet performed by ostriches, hippos, alligators and elephants, all set to music by the Philadelphia Orchestra under the direction of Leopold Stokowski. The screening will include a newly recorded, behind-the-scenes look at the orchestra’s rehearsals, and Yannik Nezet-Seguin, the orchestra’s current conductor, will lead a discussion about the history of Stokowski and Fantasia. All ages.
