BOUNCE: The Basketball Opera

Head to East Flatbush for a showcase performance of music-theater and opera company Ardea Arts' brand-new project, BOUNCE: The Basketball Opera. Performed on a basketball court, BOUNCE combines operatic singing, hip hop and electronic dance music to tell a modern version of the Greek myth "The Flight of Icarus." The production examines the pain of gun violence and the resilience of the human spirit and features high school students performing alongside professionals, making it an inspiration for little ones and big ones alike.
