Time Out says

This strip of waterfront park stretches from Battery Park to 59th Street, allowing you to walk, bike or skate while looking at the Hudson River and New Jersey. There are flowers, benches, piers and lots of programs—including youth sports like baseball and opportunities for boating including kayaking, rowing, and sailing in the river. Families can take a ride on the Carousel at Pier 62 in Chelsea and practice some putting at the only 18-hole miniature golf course in Manhattan, located at Pier 25 in Tribeca. There's also plenty of play areas for kids to interact with one another, cool off in water features, dig through sandboxes and soar through the sky on swingsets. If you're hungry, grab some munchies at the various eateries in the park. You can also treat your pup to a fun day of exercise at the multiple dog runs.
