Time Out says

One of UK pop’s rising names returns to Melbourne due to popular demand after just six months

English pop singer-songwriter Griff went from producing music in her bedroom to supporting Dua Lipa in just a few short years, and Australia seemingly can’t get enough of her. The rising 23-year-old artist played a sold-out debut Aussie show in Sydney back in January, and is now returning to our East Coast just six months later due to popular demand.

While Griff’s debut album vertigo won’t come out until July 19, she already won the Brit Award for Rising Star all the way back in 2021. After releasing hit singles and mixtapes, filming several moody yet energetic music videos and building a reputation for creating magic with a hand-stitched vibe, Griff is ready to celebrate her debut album with a global tour.

The World Vertigo Tour will bring Griff back to Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this winter, as well as seeing her visit Auckland for the first time ever. Melburnians will have the chance to relish in Griff’s emotionally autobiographical tunes like ‘Black Hole’ and ‘Miss Me Too’ at the Northcote Theatre on Saturday, August 17.

Griff’s Melbourne show is perfectly timed almost a month after the release of vertigo, so you’ll have just enough time to learn all the lyrics before you head down for a group therapy session, ahem, gig. She describes the album as a coming-of-age record about “vertigo as an emotion”, exploring the “dizziness and upside down feeling of heartache”.

As for tickets, Frontier presale starts on Wednesday, May 1 at 10am. If you’re not a member, general ticket sales start at 11am on Friday, May 3 over here.
