Opened by two Silverlake Wine alumns, this Pasadena-based store is making waves in the wine community through its hefty selection of California, French and Italian wines, in addition to several other global offerings. Regular wine tastings take place on Tuesdays from 5-8pm, Fridays from 5-9pm and Saturdays from 2-6pm and require no reservations. Tuesdays bring “Easing Your Way Into the Week” with three different wines paired with cheese and charcuterie for $15. Alternating days with Silverlake Wine, the Heirloom LA Truck is also parked outside. Fridays are “Friday Night Flights” of three wines (reds and whites) focusing on a grape, a winemaker or a region, served with Heirloom LA bread and butter. The “Let’s Be Frank” hot dog truck is parked outside for heartier fare, and these flights range from $12-$15 per person depending on the wines. Saturdays bring “Daytime Relaxation. Daytime Drinking. Together as One.” Three wines plus an aperitif are offered with bread, butter and cheese plates, to be consumed at your own pace ($15).
