The Gorbals (CLOSED)

The Gorbals, where you can eat creative (and weird) foods from a Top Chef winner, Ilan Hall, like bacon-wrapped matzoh balls, duck latkes, huckleberry, alligator pear ice cream and pig head (which requires 24 hours notice). Served in a dimly lit, hipster setting, the drink menu is playful too with names like “Jalap-en-yo Business” and “Dick in a Hat.” Plus there’s half-off all bar menu items during Happy Hour (Mon-Fri 6-7:30 pm) and Late Night Happy Hour (Mon-Wed 10pm-midnight). Like what you try? Order up a “Buy a round of beers for the kitchen,” which is also on the menu.
