From the husband and wife team (chef Alex Eusebio and Sara Mann Eusebio) behind Sweetsalt comes Cascabel, a darling Mexican restaurant in Toluca Lake. Housed in a former residence on Riverside Drive, the eatery features upscale tacos (think duck confit and Brussels sprouts with artichoke hearts), fresh ceviche and an addictive bacon gaucamole that has quickly become a house favorite. Sometimes the unique mashups from chef Eusebio are not always expected—avocado in a dessert mousse?—but other tapas plates are delightful, like a short rib mole that immediately melts in your mouth. A curated cocktail list makes this an ideal place to stop by for a dirnk, but don't skip out on the house margarita, an authentic libation that won't leave you hurting the next morning from too much sour mix.
