Better brush up on your Italian before you step into this gelateria—all the flavors and sizes are only in italiano. But even if you're not entirely sure what you're ordering, chances are you'll wind up with something pretty darn good. Only the best and freshest ingredients are used to make the rich and intensely-flavored selections, which include a very dark green pistachio (their best-seller) that actually tastes like pistachios, and Florentine chocolate with flakes of sea salt. The addition of the café makes this location different than the original in Altadena, but if you assume that the coffee would take a backseat to the gelato, think again: the Affogato (coffee poured over gelato) is killer.
