Moby-Dick

Herman Melville's classic adventure novel about Captain Ahab, Moby Dick and the Pequod is adapted for opera in an innovative, tech-forward way. With a sweeping and beautiful score by Jake Heggie, much of the libretto is adapted verbatim from the novel for the opera by Gene Scheer. The sets are complemented by video projections of churning seas and waves. This production debuted in Dallas before traveling to Australia, Calgary, San Diego and San Francisco—to wide acclaim.
