Happy 4/20 from Coachella 2013! Day two of the fest was a little subdued and a little dusty (or smoky?). Fans were still out in large numbers, but there was a lot more sitting and napping than yesterday—we're not sure if that's evidence of a weekend two/day two slump, or a result of the high holiday. Speaking of, some of the bands might have been celebrating as well: A few forgot their setlists mid-show (Violent Femmes, Grizzly Bear) and Yeasayer's Chris Keating broke his mic stand. Oops. Pusha T was about 25 minutes late for his set, but those who waited were rewarded with a pretty spectacular show. Further highlights were Janelle Monáe's cover of the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back," a bitterwseet rendition of "Nothing Better" from the Postal Service, and an amazing set from Sigur Rós—although their creepy screen graphics kind of made us wish we hadn't smoked that last joint.
