If you're in Downtown between now and February 22, don't be confused if you stumble upon two dancers interacting with lights and sounds in the Fashion District, or if you come across a random installation that looks like a mass of bubbles and smoke in a parking lot on Figueroa. It's all part of SKYLINE, the annual architecture and art event that showcases ten site-specific, experimental, interactive installations that embrace LA's dynamic cultural landscape. Different architects, artists, and designers have gone into hidden spaces (penthouses, hotel lobbies, old banks) within Downtown, transforming them into art destinations for you to experience on foot or by Metro (it covers a walkable 10x10 block grid). Check out the list of sites and musical performances here. And you thought you'd seen all that the LA art scene had to offer.
