King's College London's Arts and Humanities festival is going below the surface for 2014, with a huge range of performances, tours, immersive events and debates taking on the theme of 'underground'. A discussion about the films 'Crime and Punishment' and 'The Double' with the latter's writer and director Richard Ayoade, celebrated Dostoevsky writer (and former Archbishop of Canterbury) Dr Rowan Williams will take place on Oct 20; guided tours of buried, forgotten sections of Somerset House will take place on Oct 18 and Oct 22; and an electric-acoustic trio will perform in the long-abandoned Aldwych Underground Station on Oct 17. Many events are free, and the full programme can be found on the King's website.
