TransEuropa Festival

Taking place in 14 cities across Europe, this festival promotes political and cultural exchange and collective action for alternative visions on the economic crisis, migration and democratic participation. Events in London include 'The Hidden Tales of London', a theatrical monologue and talk taking place at Restaurant Dans le Noir (EC1R 0DU, May 16 7pm; £60), 'Seeds of Democracy: Europe and the Balkans', a talk by academics, politicians and activists at Goldsmiths, University of London (SE14 6NW, May 18 6.30pm, free), 'The UK in Europe's Economy and Europe's Economy in the World', a series of talks at London School of Economics (WC2A 2AE, May 19 10am-6pm, free).
