Time Out says

If you struggle to carve a turkey then you’ll definitely appreciate the skill involved in this three-day ice-sculpting extravaganza. Teams and individuals wielding chisels and chainsaws will battle it out against each other, and the clock, to carve the ultimate icy creation, inspired by this years themes, Fabulous Fashion and River Life. Professionals will be carving pieces from blocks of ice up to two meters tall and giving free master classes, using mini blocks, to adults and children aged 12 and over. A winter food market will accompany the festival and Canary Wharf’s unusual wind sensitive LED Christmas lights will be on show. All the events are free but on a first come first serve basis so check online for a full line up and show times.
