If your ideal dinner party guests are ‘Ab Fab’s Patsy Stone, ‘Die Hard’s John McClane and ‘Blind Date’-era Cilla, you’ll have a power-suited ball at The Art of Dining’s retro party pop-up. Amanda Bellingham, big-haired boss of the office for the evening, needs help celebrating her company’s birthday, so promotions and pay rises will be on offer for those who excel at overhead projector Pictionary and other team-building challenges. The dinner menu, devised by Moro-trained chef Ellen Parr, includes a smoked haddock and caper sausage roll with tarragon mustard bean salad and salted caramel chocolate bourbons with malted milk ice cream. One lucky employee will get to slow dance with the boss when the disco kicks in, but those left on their tod can always make their own fun over at the photocopier.
