St George's Day at Borough Market

St George is not just England's special guy, we share him with Georgia, Ethopia, Greece, Turkey, and Catalonia too. Borough Market will be celebrating the patron saint's broad cultural heritage on St George's Day with stalls selling delicacies from around the world. They'll also be hosting traditional St G's Day entertainment, but with a contemporary twist. So, get ready to join an interactive performance of St George and the Dragon, do ‘wraps 'n ripples' around the maypole as traditional steps are merged with Hip Hop moves, see the Castellers of London construct a human tower (a Catalan tradition that dates back more than 200 years), plus see butchery demonstrations and kitchen demos.
