Time Out says

For four days Newman Street Tavern's serving window will be dishing up more than its usual bacon and beef rolls. A selection of native and rock oysters will be available by the box from 5pm each evening accompanied, naturally, by glasses or bottles of champagne for punters to take away or drink on the street-side terrace. On Wednesday October 7 head chef Peter Weeden will lead a masterclass on how to shuck oysters with precision (7pm, £10). Then on Thursday October 8 chefs including Chris Calvin and The Wright Brothers will shuck it out to be crowned king in a skill and speed competition in aid of Action Against Hunger (7pm, £15). Finally on Saturday October 11 oyster fans can go all out at the themed-brunch featuring one-off dishes such as oysters Rockefeller, angels on horseback, and steak and oyster pudding.
