The French-born, itinerant Omnivore food fest began in 2003 and has been trotting the globe since 2012, but this London instalment promises to be one of the best yet, with its roster of top international chefs and mixologists meeting plenty of homegrown talent.
The location is key, since the East End is currently home to many of the country's most exciting chefs: it's no coincidence that Lyle's, from just up the road, will be among the venues hosting an Amazing Dinner, where the local chef teams up with a visitor (in this case, Gregory Marchand of Frenchie in Paris). There is a busy programme of masterclasses, too, led by two dozen chefs and bartenders (including St John's Fergus Henderson, Dandelyan's Nathan O'Neill and chocolatier Paul Young).
