This new area allows visitors to access the museum’s collections of digitised photos, film, sound recordings, documents and books via a web catalogue, interactive displays and pre-booked appointments with staff. A Research Room is available for formal study, and new a display, ‘Explore History 1940’, features a Spitfire, the ‘little ship’ Tamzine and smaller exhibits
