This evening talk focusses on the fantastic dinosaur models that stand proud in Crystal Palace Park. The hulking great sculptures were unveiled in 1854, exciting people the world over as nothing like them had ever been seen before. Historian of science, Professor Joe Cain will talk about the importance of the models that lurk by the lake, and how they shaped the public's perception of dinosaurs. The talk will be followed by a free drinks reception and a private view of the Strange Creatures exhibition.
