Sure, the traditional focus of a yard sale is buying other people's tat and making it your treasure, but this fortnightly market behind the Bussey Building offers so much more than that. Firstly, the stalls certainly aren't selling tat – we're talking work by local artists and designers, vintage clothing, jewellery, records and collectibles to browse – and secondly there is plenty to distract visitors beyond the shopping. Enjoy the likes of spoken word performances, craft workshops, taekwondo, BMX jousting, Brazilian drumming and other unusual entertainment as you tuck into food specialities from all over the world. Local businesses such as the Nines bar, Seabass Cycle and Rye Wax record store will all be open for business, too.
