Hampstead Theatre has been one of the pioneers of free web streaming, with its shows ‘The Arrest of Ai Weiwei’ and ‘Wonderland’ attracting massive global audiences after being filmed and shown online for free. And now it's time for the fifth show from the prestigious new writing theatre to get the web treatment. Directed by Hampstead boss Edward Hall, Phil Davies’s debut play ‘Firebird’ is a short, gripping, hard-hitting drama about the thorny – not to mention topical – issue of grooming and consent amongst teenagers that played to sellout audiences throughout its run, which ended last month. Now it’s been filmed and will be available to stream from us, Time Out, in association with charity The Children’s Society from Friday Nov 6 at 10am (GMT) and available several days after.
