A gorgeous boutique on Islington’s Camden Passage, with almost everything – chocolates, brownies, cakes, ice-cream – made in the downstairs kitchen and finished in front of customers. Young is a respected pâtissier as well as chocolatier and has an astute chef’s palate for flavour-combining.
Valrhona and Amedei are his favoured couvertures, which he combines in different blends and origins to match his other ingredients. Even in summer there are plenty of temptations, such as Pimm’s cocktail truffles featuring cucumber, strawberry and mint flavours, and white chocolate blondies made with raspberries and blueberries. The shop is a first port-of-call for Valentines Day and Mothers Day gifts.
