Time Out says

We doubt that the capacity of this tiny spot makes it very far into double digits. But though the choice of food and drink is comparably minimal – just espresso-based coffees, a soup of the day, a sandwich or two and a few baked goods – customers love the ER, as do we. It’s like a little shrine to espresso, made with largely consistent skill using beans from Caravan.

The blend is bracing stuff, but with just enough sweetness to make it enjoyable without sugar.Occasionally we get an imperfect cup, but on our last visit it was textbook stuff (apart from being just a tiny bit too cool). The best place to sit, weather permitting, is at one of the small tables outside. Service is from smiling, friendly people who evidently love what they do and show off their prodigious technical skills in the most modest way possible.
