A kid-friendly Japanese café canalside on the Kingsland Basin, close to Haggerston station. A daily set lunch menu of a main dish, rice, miso soup and a small salad (£8.90) features alongside rice balls, teas, Japanese toasts and desserts. The rice balls come in eleven different flavours and are perfect for toddlers and the daily cheesecakes are perfect for everyone. In summer, the outdoor tables by the canal are idyllic and if the kids get bored of the play bit, they can look out for ducks. The name translates as ‘kids on the floor’, so expect a few of those!
