This popular salt beef sandwich seller initially made its name roaming various street food markets, but now has a permanent site at The Barley Mow pub, on Curtain Road. Don't worry if you're not nearby though, they still take their mobile van to markets and festivals across London and beyond.
It's mostly about the sarnies here, with brisket cured for weeks in a brine of salts, sugar and spices, then slow-cooked and served in black rye buns or Jewish-style boiled bagels with mustard, blow-torched cheddar cheese and pickles from Vadasz Deli. Variations of the above feature, too – including The Lord Rupert, a sandwich that we included at number 29 on our 2015 list of London's best dishes.
Hot wings, fries and bowls of brisket, salt beef, smoked mackerel or grilled haloumi also feature.
