A King's Road café, restaurant and bar open for more than a decade. It looks the part, with gingham tablecloths, wooden tables, baked goods in the window and rubbed-down dressers providing the shabby-chic café kitsch. A garden, with flora and fairylights, is lovely.
There's a Mediterranean feel to the food menu. Popular weekend brunches include eggs benedict, waffles with berries and cream, salads, soups, quiches and heartier bits and bobs cooked on the grill. Lunches combine daily specials with colourful salads sitting appetisingly on display.
The evening focuses on grills, with beef sourced from Aubrey Allen. Expect hand cut bavettes, chargrilled rib-eyes, homemade burgers and cote de boeuf for two alongside marinated chicken skewers with lemon, garlic and oregano, grilled fillet of stone bass and swordfish skewers served with charred roasted vegetables. Sharing boards prove popular, too.
