Please note, Lucky Chip Burger & Wine has now closed. Time Out Food editors, June 2019.
‘An El Chappo burger and a bottle of Lebanese red, please’! It sounds unlikely, but Lucky Chip’s permanent Dalston home is right on the money for oenophile hipsters. Inside, it has all the US trappings you could wish for – red leather booths, a full-length kitchen counter, 80s rock blasting out of an amp and a menu of mighty burgers, dogs, chicken parmigiana and other eclectic riffs. As for the wine, expect a 100-strong list with plenty of unusual tipples on offer. Lucky Chip made their name with gigs in the Sebright Arms and elsewhere, and it’s worth checking Twitter for any forthcoming pop-ups or pub residencies.
