Contending with the likes of Chick ’n’ Sours, Chicken Shop and LeCoq, you might have thought there was no room in London for another punny poultry joint. But listen up coq munchers (their words) – there’s a new chick in town. Well, not entirely new; these guys had a branch in Dalston and previously traded under the name Wingman. They’ve toned down their schtick since then, with ‘Kim-jong wings’ now (wisely) just ‘k-wings’ and ‘sticky napalm’ now simply a ‘sweet soy and garlic glaze’, but the offering is similar: vodka and sesame-battered wings served with a paintbrush to apply the sauces; draught and canned beer; Vietnamese bao and chicken burgers.
